Going to Tractor Supply was a mistake

I feel for you all. Here is my recipe for a successful trip to TSC during the chick season.

1. Install Ear Plugs
2. Install blinders or close your eye and find a stranger to lead you through the store.

I'm terrified and soooo excited at the same time! TSC is finally carrying purina duck feed 40lb bag out here, the closest one that has it is 20 miles away!
I'm going tomorrow to get 2 bags of it since it is a buy in store only product. I'm terrified that I'll see babies and won't be able to walk out! But I will!
Good luck, the chicks are in the middle of the store, you can hear them cheeping all over the store. I bought three female EE. to go with 4 others I had ordered from cackle hatchery.

I DID IT! I went in, peeked and left with only my 2 bags of 40lb purina duck feed, cat litter, timothy hay, pine chips, and MEALWORMS!!!
That store actually looks like they take care of the babies, not to distraught. Better then mine :( and the associate's were tons nicer!

Wow! You are strong! I'm not. Another dozen today. Think I actually got two Millie Fleur and a porcelain in the mix.

Very fortunately, we have work planned for our garage in early April, and that's where our chicks are brooded. So, no chicks until that's all done. It's saved me from the horrors of the 50cent chicks offered there today!
In mid-April, I'm doomed...

I still look, but luckily rk and tsc don’t routinely carry “gamebirds” and I have learned to resist the chicken chicks....almost bought ducklings last trip but have talked myself out of it.....will see if that holds through the weekend! Hahaha
