Gold Laced Orpington- For Learning and Sharing

Awww, Vicki she's gorgeous!

My first pure glo babies are hatching tomorrow. 5 from Champ and Sweetpea, and two from you Vicki. That pulley egg was fertile after all. In fact she is already pipped as of about 1P today...so excited to see them...and there is one black in the bunch from you too.

Jobelle,
Champ is doing great. We just love him to pieces. He's too big for the kids to hold but I hold him quite a bit and he tolerates it well. His first babies with my blue English pullet are HUGE...when I glancedd at the LF.orp chicks at the local feed store I thought were bantams.....they were sooo tiny compared to my chicks. 5 out of 6 hatched...two blue and three black....the black are starting to get a little bit of lacing, but so far the blues are solid.

That pullet egg was fertile?..LOL..
That chick will look like the one pictured..hatched from the same pullet. I only set those two eggs to test her.

I love this color..just like burnt cinnamon.
Vicki, I love the cinnamon chicks too! One of my girls occasionally gave me the cinnamon ones. I thought it was indicative of adult base color, but sadly it wasn't necessarily the case. Have you found the same to be true?

I am sooooo glad that he is working out for you! I was pretty sure he would and I knew that anything he throws is going to be huge! His dad was a monster in size! Enjoy those babies!

Michelle, there are several on this thread that sell eggs. I'm sure they will contact you. Good Luck
