I know it's super rare to have a golden buff rooster that's actually golden, but I think I might have one. It's so much bigger then the other golden buff hens, and these last couple of days I've been hearing sounds that sound like crows. I really can't tell by his walk since it has a limp, but I'm starting to wonder about that too. He was injured young and we were sure she'd be pecked and teased by the others, but if it were a boy it makes sense why it wasn't! I hope so bad it isn't:] We just had to give a rooster away. It's 21 weeks, no spurs yet.
Do you think it could be she's going to start laying soon??

Thanks for your help!!!

Gotta have pics.

If by golden buff you mean a sex link, then no you can't have a rooster that is gold/buff/reddish. But, it is possible to have buff colored roos of other breeds. Spurs are not a good gender indicator at this age, lots of roos don't have spurs yet. Saddle and hackle feathers are good, as is crowing.
