We got 6 G.C.s when we first started this crazy adventure last spring... foxes got into our 'secure' coop by digging under the gate (the only part without buried fence underneath) during the day and eating 5 of them... 4 just GONE, 1 dead and 1 totally fine and unconcerned... Super chicken is the best chicken ever. She lays us a medium brown egg every day, and lets my 2 year old pick her up. She is small, and sweet, and not really shy or skittish. I'm considering supplementing my flock with more GCs this spring.
