Golden Comets

I have Hi-line Browns. I they are a cross between a comet and ?. I forgot.

My Comet (Henny Penny) is 2.5 years, lays a big brown egg every other day regardless of our cold weather, and comes at a full run when called. My kids pick her up and carry her around and she corrects our Springer Spaniel firmly when her space has been invaded (she free ranges). She is a delight. Good luck with your Comets!!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the info on the Golden Comets. I don't have a computer and I hadn't been to the library till now. I am glad the chicks are a good choice. I think we got a fair deal on them at Tractor Supply-$2.49 a chick. I just couldn't find any real info on them. Do these hens go broody easily?

They shouldn't, since they were developed for the egg-laying industry. They should work hard for you laying lots and lots of eggs.
