Why are the eggs white? I thought they were typically brown.

no idea I never researched what color the egg would be although since the roo is a rir and the hen is usually a white bird I would have thought the eggs would be white and then the cometts will lay brown

edited to add...and what i find weird is this hybrid cross seems to lay HUGE eggs way bigger than its' parent birds eggs! Least mine do.....they dont fit in large egg cartons lol!

I just thought that the mother of the Golden Comets were typically brown egg layers. Like Delawares or RIW?

That is weird about the egg size, have you noticed any personality differences between the parent birds/breed and the cross?
