OH I love the Gold Cuckoos!
I seriously may have to get some but will wait til April-May. Will you have some then?
Its looks like this year will be a chick hatching year from me with getting the Brabanters too.

Love cattle although I never raised any.
Always dreamed of having a Jersey.
Instead I had Nubian Dairy Goats.
I wish you'd post pics of your Paso Finos!
I miss my horses and riding SOOOO much!

Henry it does seem that we animals lovers often end up with non-animal loving parents and/or spouses.
In my case I got the double whammy. I was born loving horses and dogs but lived in the city and didn't get out into the county until my early 30's and had to battle long and hard to get my first horse with my non-animal lover husband.
It has been a source of contention in our marriage for many years and it wasn't until recent years that he backed off a little after I told him I would get rid of all my animals if he gave up fishing and hunting.

Ya it seems that way a girl I like is the head of her 4-h chapter and asked me to go in on a murrymcmurry hatchery order

I am thinking about just asking her to marry me now and get it over with

But seriously when you so called "fall in love" (its more like fall in lust at the time, which blinds your logical thinking and reasoning) its very important that you're on the same page when it comes to morals and values, lifestyles and hobbies before you decide to marry anybody.
AND always remember...those little annoying things that you tend to over-look when you're courting become full blown sources of contention once the honeymoon is over.
But then I always wonder what would happen if two animal lovers hooked up....do you then become over run with too many animals?

Plus all my kids grew up and left home and it was just too much work for me to do on my own.
