Of the 7 chicks I have, only one is a GLW and she is the smartest and most people friendly. She's the only one who has figured out a big flapping running start will get her out of the brooder, and the only one to come to me willingly for attention. I know every chicken personality is different, but my GLW is my best chick, and I got supposedly docile breeds.

I vote for the little chick peeking out too! I went to the feed store and bought 2 and got 1 free! I hope mine turn out just like yours!!

I have four Wyandottes and they are all very friendly and sweet. I've had all four come and nap on me. Here is a photo with two GLW's on the left at 5-1/2 weeks old. I hear they're coloring gets prettier as they get older. The one on the right is a Sussex and she's even more docile than the Wyandottes.
