Golf Balls question?

I have 2 golf balls in the nesting box because they were laying elsewhere. Today when my DH was tending the chickens, there were two eggs in the nesting box and the two golf balls had been taken out of the nesting box. Do you think I should put them back or take them out and figure they have the idea? The funny thing is we don't know how they got them out because there is a lip on the box and they would have to pick up with beak, pick up with their foot or push it out?

They push them around with their beaks to move them. Just put them back in the nesting box. My RIR trys to steal the fake eggs from one box to put them in hers.
