Gone 12 hrs a day. Are ducklings possible for me?

Right!! We are considered country where I live but yet I haven't came across any trustworthy people that I would consider taking ducks from. I mean just spent 425.00 on Bill and Ted at the vets.....that's why I'm thinking duckling might be the way to go, but I don't know if I can wait that long! Lol

No not yet but I will tomorrow on my lunch......working life, it's the pits! Lol

I might of found two hens! They are about 2hours away from me. So here’s my question, what do I do about quarantine?

Yippie!!! Ducks are hardy and usually don't require much in the way of quarantine, If you have a X large dog crate you could keep them separated for a few days to a week if that makes you feel better and also depends on how they have been kept and how they look, Are you going to their home now to pick them up? You'll get an idea on how they have been raised and kept.
I don't worry much about ducks I have brought home based on how they looked Only did it once with Muscovy females. , Now other poultry chickens etc I would def keep away from my flock for a while.

I have never quarantined a Duck..I put in a look no touch pen and release. Healthy Ducks don't have disease.
Ducks are not carriers like Chickens are so that's why I rescue Ducks and not Chickens...

I was told that the ducks and chickens were housed together in the same pen but the ducks never really went into the chickens coop. The seller has 14 chickens and 6 ducks they want to sell as a whole but would be willing to set aside 2 ducks for me. The problem is I have to pickup by this Friday evening and they are 2 hours away, which means I would get home until 9-10 pm..... Since they need them all gone by Friday because they are leaving town Saturday Morning, i told they that if they had the option to sell the flock as a whole then i would completely understand. (they seller is hesitant to sell the flock as a whole because they think they might be butchered) So i am in a limbo right now and trying to prepare myself if i do get these girls......

Does not matter.I have Chickens too and many rescues come from homes with Chickens..Still not an issue. Ducks do not carry or transfer Chickens diseases..
