Good deal? What do you think? pics

I will see about getting pics of the babies but I don't handle the rats. I don't want to handle them and them get attached to them. If that happened I would have around a 100 or so extra pets. I'll see what I can do.

Thanks! Rats are the best pets though. They are better than some dogs in my opinion. You could always just keep breeding and feeding solid white rats and have colorful rats as pets

As far as aquariums, I had extra out in my barn, I just didn't want to go and hunt them the night before when I was moving the expecting rats and the trade I made on pine shaving more than made up for the deal.

Arlington, how far away from carrollton Ga. is that? I am right across the Alabama state line about 30 minutes from Carrollton

Hey, I think the barter system is great, and that sounds like it worked out fine for you. But, I am curious about something and am wondering if anyone knows what I'm thinking about. I had heard that when you use pine shavings they should be kiln dried or something like that, for some reason. When I buy them for bedding at the local feed store or tractor supply, that's what the bag says, kiln dried. Are you guys telling me now that I can just use regular green shavings from the pine trees that Rick cuts done on our place? Where did I get that idea that they needed to be dried?

Hummmm, that is a good question and I never thought about it until I read your post. Around here we have huge chicken houses like tyson where chickens are raised until time to go to market. My tree trimmer guy supplies a lot of these chicken houses with shaving so I am assuming they are alright like they are. I will have to look into this matter. So far I have birds from three coops on the shaving already. Thanks for bringing this to my attension. If I find out good info on this I will pass it on. So far my birds seem to be good though.
