No that's cool. When you say upload, would I do that via the "My Page" link? I've only really looked around the forums and haven't really looked at anything else on BYC. Will have to get better acquainted.

I think the key to candling is having a really good light source and the room being really dark. This is my first hatch too. I tried candling the turkeys on day 7 but couldn't make anything out so I re-jigged my makeshift candler (a lamp that I was previously using a piece of card over - substituted the card for a can with a hole drilled out of one end and positioned that completely over the bulb and then sealed the seam with a black sock - very resourceful me

) and the latest version is really good - excellent visibility. You'd have to be an idiot not to be able to see SOMETHING with the clarity of this new set up. But I totally agree though, photos will be REALLY useful! I've got one that definitely started developing but I'm really not sure where it's at as I haven't seen the actual embryo like with the others - so with that one, I'm stumped).

This is so exciting and I can barely contain myself. I have bored all my friends and family senseless with all my ramblings lol. Can't wait for the babies to hatch!!!

In the forum page look up at the top blue line starts out with Index go to right and you will see uploads click on it and then it give you the option to browse click that then just Double click on the picture you want to upload off you computer. Then it will take you back to uploads window , click submit it takes a min. but its easy . Hope this helps.

Well I candled tonight and I found veining and a dark spot ( thats the embryo) in all seven eggs that I checked (looking good)

. The pictures don't really show the veining to good but in most you can at least see the dark spot.

I candled mine last night too. I didn't check them all - just looked in six. I could see definite development in three of those. My camera is totally rubbish though so there was no point. Thanks for the pics!!!

Welcome Crissygirl. Good luck with your hatch.

The Rcom's are more popular over in the UK than the Brinseas it would appear. I would probably have gotten one but the Brinsea was cheaper.

Thats a cool lookinf bator! Where did you find it and how do you like it?

I got it from jmt distributors online. It is sooo great. This is the first bunch to go in so we shall see how it works. I was looking at the Brinsea Advance EX, but these cost about the same. I like that the r-com doesn't have a seperate humidity machine and all that tubing.
