Hello everyone! Currently I have a few sets of duck eggs incubating but I was wondering if y’all could help me pick out a good quality layer feed for top notch eggs. I plan to sell eggs once my ducks can lay! Also, what would be a good food for drakes? Can they eat what the ducks eat, or do they need to be fed a different feed, separately?

Mazuri waterfowl breeder!! It is the most recommended by veterinarians and you can order it on chewy.com
For the drakes the mazuri waterfowl maintenance. My vet says that in her duck patients they tend to do best on mazuri and I have heard the same from other members.
Thank you for the quick response! I will definitely look into that feed! One more question... do you recommend oyster shells during laying season, or another form of calcium? Thank you!

i have drakes so i just feed a feed meant for male and female ducks (never feed chickens feed, it isn’t the best for ducks)

i do unlimited oyster shells on the side that are out 24/7, feed the eggs and shells back to them, and give them fly grubs a few times a day for calcium
What brand of feed and what is it called? I’m just looking for options!

Yes I always have oyster shells out I have an all female flock but you can just use the maintenence with oyster shell if you have drakes.
