Good Lord, THE WIND here today!!!!!

The highest gust during our biggie here at my house was 92 mph. Pears were blowing off my neighbor's tree 160 feet away and slamming into my house. I was so scared one (or more) would hit a window. Yikes!

It's not that bad here today. Gusts to around 25 mph so far. It has been bad the past few weeks, though. Had some gusts between 60 and 65 mph. Blew down the frame for another coop that DH has been working on.

I live in Bryson City, but work in Sylva and LOVE it! I've got a really nice 28' camper with a big slide out that you can come borrow anytime! "Come on down!"

Gotta stop tearing out those fence rows, or Illinois is going to give Kansas back their dirt!!!! Illinois has wind almost all the time, and its so frustrating. I hang clothes out, well, I do if it isn't raining

they beat me to death before I get them on the line. If it keeps up this summer I know the gardens and crops will be suffering terrible. I saw where DG has soaker hoses for $8 and I am thinking about buying one a month to get a supply going. . .my sister lives in Casper and I guess it blows ALL the time out there and its a gale. Wouldn't care for that!!!

Bryson City, Sylva, Dillsboro... doesn't matter, they're all nice areas in the beautiful NC mountains!

We have been having a lot of wind! I was walking the other day and almost couldn't becuase the wind was so strong.

The wind was really high in the early afternoon here today. I went riding, and the horse I was on found the wind to be most distasteful!
