I agree with everything you just said except the part about us exasperating it. However, the topic is Global Warming and it has been proven the planet cooled the last two years. Again

, yes we need to go alot greener but lets not tell lies to get us there. Lets do it because we need to preserve our precious country for our precious children.

I agree with most of what yall are saying, just not the global warming scam.​

What for you roll your eyes and call out my town? We're not all San Fransisco wannabees here you know. Just 5/6 of our city council, 90% of anyone having anything to do with our university and numerous people transplanted here during the housing boom seeking acceptance for their alternative lifestyles. And while I don't agree with them most of the time, I can accept their right live the way they want to. I'll fight for it when called to. They just keep trying to tell me how to live and that's a problem.


To clarify my take on this, I think while its true humans have an effect on nature, its extremely arrogant to think we can control it. We can't even predict rain accurately.

1000ish years ago my ancestors had farming communities on Greenland, from which they launched exploration ships to Newfoundland, but they were eventually pushed off of the continent by advancing ice. Must have been all the campfires or fatty bbq huh?

And yes, I understand that in a "closed system" like the earth's atmosphere a warming trend in one local can manifest as a cold snap elsewhere: ever try to compact mud? You push down here and it pop's up over there.

The climate has and always will go through changes weather (pun) they are comfortable for us or not. This includes being burned up by the expanding Sun before it collapses into a white dwarf. Much later the charred remains of earth will likely get mixed up a bit when the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy collide. Try conserving your way out of that.
Just like certain people will always get the warm fuzzies about "making a difference" and other people will exploit those certain peoples need to feel important for money or power. Usually both.
