Murray Mcmurray is a great hatchery. I was satisfied with my order. I recived turkeys, chickens, and guineas.All healthy and none died.Good luck finding a place.

It is best to buy eggs from a breeder who lives the closest to you. The less travel time, the better hatch you will have. My best hatch with shipped eggs were the ones I bought from a breeder in my own state. I can recommend Pips and Peeps in Washington state (BYC member) since I just bought Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana eggs from her and shipping was fast, eggs packed well, fresh and of good quality! She sells her eggs on BidBirdAuction.com.

we are looking for a mixed dozen, no silkies or banties.
I would like to have some olive eggers, blue eggers, a barnevelder, maybe a lavender, large colorful chickens.
We live in VA and have a small (12) flock of hens that are free range.
