good show breed

Honestly, Polish to me are an easy competition if you live in a smaller area and have good (non-hatchery) stock, simply because few people have good Polish. Of course, the bigger the show, the more Polish breeders, but otherwise. . .

But, in general, Polish are a nice show breed, but again you'd need to do a lot of research with getting the right stock. They're not very easy to find, especially online. Your chances are good with White Crested Blue, Black, and Chocolate - But on colors like Gold Laced, Silver Laced, Black, and White, especially in LF form - Quite hard to find. Now for bantams, they're a lot easier to find.

Bantam faverolles are a docile, rare breed and breeders will sometimes offer eggs for sale here. You can check out the fav thread here on BYC. I love my favs! (I have LF though.)

Rhode Island Red bantams or White Rock Bantams. Also large fowl if thats what you want. They love childred and they are easy to raise and supply you with lots of eggs. Look at my picture under my name that is a Rhode Island Red Cockerel from last year. bob

what about polish? XD

In my area, anything in the Continental or AOCCL class are non existant, meaning you would be lucky to even have about 6 birds in a class. I almost never see polish and those I do are poor quality. I personally like at least some competition.
