Good Uses for Quail Eggs

Scissors made all the difference in my quail-cooking. Got some on Amazon (but would definitely go through eBay if I had to do it again!). No more fumbling with a knife.

The eggs are versatile, and just the right size: dropped in ramen, whole in curry, boiled for snacks. Sometimes I dye them, because I like they way they look in packed lunches.

I got one pair sent out to me from ebay UK (I live in the UK). It cost about 2.5 GBP each, then i saw some in china at about 1 GBP each. I ordered 5 :) for friends and family. I would order some now if i were in the USA, before you get stung with an additional 25% import tax ;).

Egg scissors are totally worth it. The eggs aren't as brittle as chicken eggs, so you don't get a clean break without them and you end up with shell fragments as well.

Like other eggs, quail eggs can be stored at room temp for a couple of weeks as long as you don't wash away the bloom.
