I'm so very sorry to hear of her passing. It sounds like you gave her a wonderful life. The tribute was so beautiful. I can understand and know somewhat how you must feel because I lost the worlds best Cochin rooster a month ago. It can be so hard at times when they pass on!

Your poor baby..now that youve described avian leukosis, i believe my favorite little hen may have developed that instead of mareks like we thought. Maybe our girls are dustbathing and preening each other up there. ^^ Best of wishes to you sweetheart, and your beloved hen.

sorry for your loss you did a good thing you resqued her she would have died you gave her the chance of life for a little bit more. theres alqays more chickens. i lost a chicken today she was a 6 month old buff oprhington i had chickens all my life but now at 16 im forced to move on life my life. i lost my grandma and 2 chicks in the past week. watching my childhood characters move on. its time for me to move on good luck man
