Well to young for that thought. I have no idea unless brain development has been messed up from being sick. Hopefully over time it will work itself out. Are they where they have plenty of space to mess around? geese get bored easily. That can lead to picking also.
Ok, so update after some time. Sorry for not answering but I have zero time these days.
I got from a good friend 5 goslings about three weeks ago. They are, to this day, fine and growing up fast and healthly.
I decided to put the older goose out of her misery, since, as I previously posted in different title, she had a very bad leg problem since she was a week old. She had niacin deficiency which twisted her fingers and, as it seemed, also had slipped tendon. She had it since she was very young and she was suffering a lot. Nothing we tried ever helped, so I decided a week ago to take her to a vet to put her to sleep.
The gander had some problem with the new goslings for first two days, but after he got used to them he accepted them and now he pretty much acts as their father and protects them. Just sometimes he nibbles at them a little.
Yes, they have a very large garden to play at. I never figured out why he was doing those things to her, since my heart couldn't bare any longer the sight of her crying and screaming every time she tried to walk.
So thank you everybody for every piece od advice. It is my first time raising geese and I hope I learned from my mistakes. I'll do much better next time now that I have some experience!
