I can see how the grown man feared for his life from this 10-15 lb. bird.......

Geese can be mean...wonder if it "goosed" him or something. He did state it was self defense. Most people don't know how to handle animals like that...sad but true.

Self defense doesn't consist of beating a goose until it's eyeballs burst.

That is just brutality. Plain and simple.

I've seen aggressive geese put grown men to flight.

Some years ago I had one put a bruise on my thigh that lasted more than a week.

Poor goose. This makes me so sad... Even if he was defending himself, there are certainly ways to go about that without severely harming the poor goose.
