Congrats and what a pretty colored egg looks tie dyed.
It Worked!! It Worked!! It was Stormy my Tufted Roman x brown chinese!! I think im happier that its hers than i would be if it had been one of the toulouse cause now i know i have my pied crossbred girl that i was trying for.
Heres the little Star of the year, Stormy!
Servpolice was right about her being female.
Thank you Subhanalah for suggesting the food coloring!

LOL, so I guess using this one as a Christmas ornament is out of the question? I guess you could though it already has some pretty color on it. you'd always know who's egg it is.You can see the feathered "brush strokes" as it came out. It was funny she had it hidden in the hay in the nest but i could see the bright blue showing through the hay, i almost cracked my noggin diving in after it when i opened the peep door. Then almost ran to the house to show everyone saying the whole way "dont drop it, dont drop it"
I knew it was too big to belong to one of the Chinese.
Sounds like a plan.. Missy laid her 3rd this morning and Sammy bite the tar out of me this afternoon, grrr got me on the upper leg.I washed off the mud but the coloring stayed so i might just check if its fertile and keep the first one like i did mildreds. If its fertile im pairing her with either Daddy Tufted or Baby Tufted and continuing my pied experiment.
