for the broody geese (including mine) to all hatch healthy babies... especially Missy!

Well... my African, Delta, hatched her first gosling last night.

I have a buff dewlap, Sunshine, who is sitting on developing eggs, but not sure how far along and another African, Pretty, who just went broody a few days ago.

Then, I have a few Muscovy girls sitting on hinny eggs that are staggered from any day now to just went broody.

Finally, I have 3 African eggs on day 6 in my incubator that are developing well.

Hello All!

I have a quick question, and it has probably been answered elsewhere in this thread, but I honestly don't have time to go back through over 2K posts to try to find my answer! I am hatching out 3 goose eggs for a friend, who's poor mama Embden goose got snatched by a predator right as she was getting ready to start setting. She also has some other goose breeds, but not sure what they are....
Anyway....do different breeds of geese have different incubation times? This is the end of day 30, and the Embden egg is zipping now. The other two smaller eggs haven't even pipped internally yet although they are moving.

I only have experience with chicken eggs, so I have no idea what to expect from these guys. Also, I have noticed that these goslings don't get in a hurry for anyone! lol The Embden that is hatching now has been working on hatching for 3 DAYS!! From internal pip on Friday to zipping now on Monday night.....sheesh, and I thought chicks were slow! :p
