I am super surprised and happy that I hatched a beautiful buff girl last night.

I'm pretty sure the other eggs quit and will probably have to pick up a baby duck to keep her company, but that's ok with me. I'm just pleased for the end of season gift. My bators are done for the year..... and unless my 3 broody girls (sitting on a combined total of 10 eggs) hatch a few more, Summer (my newest buff girl) will be the last gosling of 2013.
Wonderful news.. Congrats and love the name Summer.

Thanks!! I am very pleased to have two buff babies for my yearling boys.

Jean, great news on your gosling! Congrats!!

Hubby took this pic of Baby Fro today. They let him pick one up today. i dont think i like the thought of the parents allowing that, too easy for someone else to do that and swipe them. Anyways you can see his huge afro better here. He has cute face too.

What a cutie 8, but don't you think they would trust you more than a stranger?

Well now I know what was going on when my 2 sebbie hatchlings were constantly having to hike up their wingtips. Just thought it was a learning thing as their first feathers put unfamiliar weight on the tips. Both babies resolved the dilemma on their own - 3 cheers for beginners luck!

8 as I said before such a cutie with it's fro!!! The parents now think of you and your family as part of the flock. That is why they allowed your husband to pick the gosling up. NO!!!!!!!, they will not let stranger's pick up the gosling that easy!!!

GOOD! I dont want someone walking off with my babies. We have horse theives here i dont want goose theives.
I turned my duckings loose yesterday to start free ranging during the day. They will be 2 months old July 4th and my two geese that has the babies ADOPTED them too. LoL they now have 16 babies following them around. Its great how some geese are such loving parents. Some humans need to take lessons from geese.
