Now you do know that there can be some geese confused. I know I had a great Dane female we thought was female and when she came in season she bled brown. So we took her to the vets to be spay. When we picked her up was told that she was a hermaphrodite and had gonads and a penis inside her. She exhibited female on the outside but had male parts inside...
I am not sure if this happens in geese but it is a thought.
