My ducks love my geese and my geese love my ducks. They were hatched and brooded together and I think they really do well together. I like to think the geese protect the ducks. The one thing that I have noticed is that my 4 anconas, who were raised most closely with geese, think they are geese and don't really associate with the other ducks. But I haven't noticed any geese thinking they are ducks. I hope this helps. Here they are getting along nicely.

I told him that his Indian name should be "Hated by geese."

Not all geese lay in the early morning hours. I have geese that lay in late morning as well as late afternoon.

My geese lay any time from early morning to just before dark. maybe even after dark, I don´t know. But definitely in the evening I´ve had them lay.

I had one of my Muscovy ducks hatch an Embden gosling and it was so cute when the gosling got so much bigger than her, she loved him anyway. for over 6 yrs he thought he was a giant Muscovy.

Body guards 6 of them lol, it's amazing the bond my gander had with his mama duck, it even took a while to get him to realize the new goose I brought home for him was really a goose and it took him about 5 months to realize he was a goose. and then mating season came and he realized he was a gander too,
