GOOSE BREEDING THREAD - for breeding, incubating, hatching and rearing.

That is ridiculous, how could someone not be interested in them after getting them. Enough to not know if they are laying and where. I guess not everyone is cut out to be goose parents.
When mine are out im with them which is all day everyday, only times im not is when im checking on my mom and making her meals. It wouldnt surprise my neighbors much if one day i flipped my lid and was out with the geese on all fours with a fork and a bottle vinegarette dressing grazing with them lol

Well, it appears my dewlap flock unexpectedly expanded this afternoon. A couple in my neighborhood got five goslings from me two years ago. They are going through some serious personal problems and asked if I could take their geese. So, here they are, settling into their new place. The couple got them from me as straight run and never did figure out gender. Based on vocals and personality, I am sure there are four girls and one boy.
Ooh, windfall!! How nice!

Aww J how nice of you to take them back, they are beautiful and so nice to have 4 to 1. they are gorgeous.

Thanks, guys! I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. I worked so hard to get my flock under 30 (I have 29) and now all of a sudden I'm up to 34 again. I hope the couple returns for them, but if not, I'll figure something out. They are certainly nice enough to add to my breeder group.

Serv, looking at the picture from left to right..... the 2nd one from left is the gander. Which do you think is the 2nd gander?

Yes Iain that one ! i think but cant see the 3rd one from right and left that the one i think is a gander but it kinda looks like a female also :/ but the pictures too far away
