Have 3 eggs in lock down and two have cracked the egg but not a hole yet. So waiting for that before I pump the humidity. They are due today but seem to be slower than my first two egg which hatched on the 9th and 10th. Now waiting.

I imagined it meant 'caught red-handed', can you imagine the mum duck saying 'bother, they´ve found us out!' Now they´re in detention.Okay we need pics to see what you mean.![]()
A dog that gets problems like this we neuter. Poor goose. I hope she gets through the season ok.Speaking of big babies, my buff dewlap Toulouse goose who hatched on June 30th last year (her name is "Summer") laid her 1st egg this afternoon. The youngest of my babies is all grown up now.
The pendulum swing is not so great with my white goose this week. She's been back on pasture with her group for the last three days. She seemed to have another brief episode two days ago and we thought we'd have to put her back inside house, but she recovered quickly and has been back in full form ever since. We will probably be on pins and needles until laying season is over.

Ah, this would be a good one for 'what´s this goose thinking?' thread. She looks like she´s saying; Mum, when can I go out to play?I thought I'd give an update on Snow, my white african goose that was having egg laying problems. It's been almost a week since she was turned back outside with her group and she is doing great.![]()
I was going through my camera card and remembered I snapped this cool picture of her while penned up in house when she got sick. Never knew heavy breeds of geese could perch.
