Thanks Celtic. Two of those birds have normal African builds and one has the same type of abdomen that I see on my youngsters (the one in the rear). Like, I said before I really don't want Janet or anyone else to think I am unhappy. That is not the case at all. I just have spent enough years showing birds to recognize the differences. They still have many African characteristics they just happen to have a few Chinese characteristics too. My other white Africans are also a "work in progress" so I still fully plan to use the new birds in the breeding program and will otherwise fully enjoy them as pets.

I just wanted to let everyone know the new birds are settling in fine. They are still a little unsure about me and their new surroundings but are definitely starting to adapt. I am sure it won't be too long before they fully feel at home

hey Janet..... When you ship the 3 adults our way please include the NPIP paperwork on everyone (juveniles and adults both) we need it for our retest for 2013 to show they were just done and legally came into the state.

It can read as simply as follows:

1 grey adult toulouse
2 buff adult toulouse
5 buff juvenile toulouse

and the dates they shipped to us all on one form, no need for a form for each bird. if you will tape it in an envelop on the outside of one of the boxes on the 22nd. Rearranged the week of the 22nd some, going to be shuffling birds out this week as well so we should be good for shipping.

Jen, thanks for the update!! I'm glad they are starting to settle in!! After removing your two pairs, the remaining rescue africans are finally integrating with my group and my favorite gander appears to be linking up with one of the white girls.

I so enjoy spending time with them. They have tons of personality!

Ok, Celtic. Thanks for the reminder on the npip #. I need to call my state vet again, because I never did receive the paperwork from them, even though they told me it was going to be done 2-3 weeks ago.

We are one week away from our final shipment of 11 dewlaps to Celtic, Krafty and Lightning, and the mission will be complete (unless I decide to place a few more in the next month or two to try to reach my goal of having only 30 geese). As a congratulations and early bday present, my hubby has offered to buy me a horse I found online that I like. Here she is... a pregnant 3 yo percheron/qh mare. Foal due in March.
