Goose lovers – please help!!

FYI, I have contacted every single rescue group and sanctuary in Cali. No help. I have also contacted all the Utah rescue groups and sanctuaries. Obviously my local group, avian sanctuary and protection organization has been an amazing help, but they are the only one who has responded to my calls for help. I am still hoping Best Friends Animal Sanctuary will step up and help with the vet bills, but no response yet.

Speaking of vet bills, Richard (avian sanctuary hero) reports that the injured grey and buff dewlap are showing slight improvement. We are still very worried about the grey though. I am picking them up tonight from his place to take them to my vet in the morning, along with the blind grey juvenile and a white african juvenile that looks like she needs a close exam.

Excellent news!! A lady from the forum is coming on Monday from SE Washington to pick up 4-5 pairs plus a couple extra ganders!!!! For all wanting buff pairs, I believe they are reserved already for placement. Also, Sue has reserved a pair of greys.

the injured babies can be saved without the intesive help that Spirit has required.

If geese gave awards Iain and Celtic as well as their families would get them!!!
 
Sue, it will help her if you do fill out the form. I have set up as a spread sheet so she can download and cross check local placement to online placement.

site is a work in progress, but it gets the info out in one spot to be shared easily.

I have not had a chance to review adoption forms, but I will be sure to have it done soon. I will require the following:

1) GUARANTEE that they will not be eaten AND
2) RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL to re-acquire them if you decide you cannot/do not want to keep them. I will personally pay the shipping costs to have them returned, if necessary.

That's it. My pets are my kids. By extension, these rescued geese are my foster kids. At my place, kids are properly cared for, given whatever vet treatment required, and will only leave my property upon death (hopefully of really old age). I have invested over a $1,000 so far out of my pocket and hundreds of hours to save these geese so that they could live in forever responsible breeders and/or pet homes.

Again, THANK YOU to all who are helping me save these beautiful geese!!
