Thank you, ladies!! Spirit is a fighter, that's for sure!!

I'm making slow progress on my truck, but almost there. The headlights, corner markers and new grille are on. Just need to get my park lamp covers back on (broken one needs rigging as parts store was out of stock on new ones) and corner bumper pulled out...then off to test drive it and deal with radiator leak. So far, I'm feeling pretty good about having it ready for tomorrow's run to the airport.

can you tell we are anxious for tomorrow? lows in the 50's highs in the low 70's this week. Good time to be shipping for sure.

How did the yard hold up to snow melt off and rain? Hopefully they arent a muddy mess on you now. Spirit looks so good, glad the recent trim did the trick.

Iain, glad things are coming together with your little group! It makes me feel good to know that Spirit is increasing in comfort and energy. What an adventure this new liberty is going to be!!! Go Spirit! Also, glad your getting things together for your vehicle. You sure do manage to get a lot of things done.

I was thinking yesterday when I was cuddling baby girl how I envied you having a lap goose. Ironic, isn't it. My life seems just filled with ironies lately. I'm sorry I didn't get around to calling. DH had a huge "must do" of things (including another load of brick and stone from the old pool to weigh down more fences. He feels bad "his" fence let them in. (the did dig, but you know how it is) If your around this afternoon, I'll maybe give you a call then. (besides, i was kind of avoiding talking about yesterdays clean up.....you know.....unlovely)

Morning all.......................Its shipping day for our final 4 adults

just in time to settle in before our yearly testing rolls in. What a production that day will be with all of the additional birds we brought in, hatched and kept this year. Lots of angry birds that day until we are done. No one gets lets out until all testing is done, or it takes way too long.

Marty I hope baby girl continues to make progress, is your vet going to do a follow up with her? I would suggest some tub time for her to stretch and gently work her legs. Aqua therapy is easy on the joints, but keeps her from becoming too stiff to extend.

Good morning, all. Thanks for the well wishes!! Spirit is getting more active by the day, and I can't wait to take him outside so he can try out his new leg on grass. I may even do that today, if I can find the time. It's going to be hectic though, as I have a lunch-time appointment in Salt Lake City, then I still need to pull dented bumper out so not rubbing tire, and then finally box/transport Shellie's geese to airport. I cannot emphasize how much I dread the catching and sending off of these last group of birds. But, once it's done... it is done.

Marty, I wish we both had a lap goose under different circumstances, but it is sweet to feel the trust and bond from our babies in need. No worries about the phone call. You can call any time. Salt Lake is 30+ miles each way, and I have to go there twice. So, a lot of my day will be spent in a car and I will be able to talk then.
