Ok, fire line has been dug by a bulldozer. Janet says no more visible flames, large pump trucks were soaking the chard areas

Hopefully she will be on later. They have to move all of the birds back where they belong.

Hi all, thanks for the warm wishes!!

We evacuated everyone over to horse property without any problem and were ready to drive them down the trail along stream behind horse property, if it became necessary. It was quite scary for a little bit, but the fire crews did a fantastic job getting it under control before getting too close to our house.

We just finished moving all the dogs, cats, and geese back to the house. Unfortunately, while over on horse property, the deformed leg male and pigeon toed female went into the horse pasture with the africans, which was causing problems. So I herded them to the stream, where they rejoined the adult dewlap group in their pasture. Now we are debating on trying to catch them again so they are in side yard for vet in the morning.

Iain, glad you made it home safely. Thanks on the 4 pack, going to add (gasp people dont follow my lead ok) some top dressing of corn to their diet for the next few weeks. Would like to put more weight on them now without breaking the bank dong so. So mazuri with a top dressing of corn, which wont be continued for very long, but want to see how they bulk out.

You all set for your day of round up?

What a scary afternoon!! Glad you and Iain are safe. Happy that all the critters are ok as well. Love Firemen, police and others who do so much "in the line of duty"
