And getting "steps in the yard" do not count. What say you?
It's a wonderful that you found some great ways to get more activity into your life, especially after your health scare. However, given that someone just a couple of posts ago shared how many steps they get on days when they are puttering around the yard, that seems a bit dismissive. While, yes, you may not be maintaining the elevated heart rate and sustained caloric burn of a truly aerobic walk every step that is taken is one more step than would have been taken if you simply sat on your butt at that time. At the end of the day, every step is a step and every step counts

Woo hoo - 45 minutes at a sustained 3 mph today (had been doing 30)..... and I could have done more, was going to try to push it to 60, but the last 10 minutes I really had to pee ( the downfall of staying well hydrated) so I had to alter my intended route so I could get home sooner.
I think I am most proud of my walk on Friday though. It was only 30 minutes, but it was pouring down rain that day and I still made myself go. Being in the pnw, it's easy to find excuses not to do things due to the weather this time of year. Turns out it was actually a very enjoyable walk, that's what rain jackets are for right?

I know it wasn’t me that originally posted the yard work thing but thank you! Completely agree. I, myself, am VERY sedentary and I am trying to change that.
