It looks like you had a wonderful trip, which you richly deserve. How nice to get to relax! Did you bring your own horses in?

Atticus and Finch now make all kinds of noise when I come out to their yard, greeting me. They don't approach me, but are running away less. They'll stay in the pool as I walk by, but I get the stink eye for sure! They have started playing with the toys on the fence, making the bells jingle. I put some chopped cabbage in their bowl the other day and they gobbled it right up. So I know they like that for a treat, as well as BOSS and dried meal worms.

Donna that's very cool.

Our 9 pack are too funny. Every morning they are the first let out of a stall, they stretch and we walk to their gate together while they grab bites of grass and gab. They monitor me while I put out the feed and chat to hubby while he does the pools. Then as we head back to let others out they chase after wings spread like kids following mom and dad. In the evenings they are the last in, and if I goto their gate and yell goosegoosegoose they come running (or their form of running) wings spread for balance chatting away. The gander in the group and the biggest goose both come to me and gab away while we walk to their stall. They always usher the rest to and from making the routine so easy.

Hoping the final 4 settle into the routine and enjoy the daily walk and chat as much.

Thanks, Donna! The horses in the pics are my two favorite boys that we go exploring all over with. They are the best camping/trail ponies ever!

Hello everyone, Well I think I figured out what my African's really are. From looking at many pictures and much reading, I believe they are African's and Toulouse mixes. I have one even developing a dewlap who has the black beek with a nob starting as well. This one has just a little of the ruffeled neck but they all have 2 lobs that are developing very nicely. They also have the orange ring around the eye's. I was so hoping that I did get the african's but they were a late entry at the auction so I couldn't get a good look at them. I am happy with them but will be still looking for some real African's come spring.

I have decided to get some feed made come January as then my car will be paid for and can then have enough money to buy by the ton of all flock raiser. Thanks Celtic for all the great info!! I alway's get some good advice when I need it. I have told so many people of this site and they love it too!!

OK, so I'm late.

Iain, great pics! Theres a place where my family goes most summers in Canada that has an island on a lake with its sheer wall painted also. Very intriguing.

Celtic, I'm sorry I've been gone so much. I sent you two PMs.

Hello everyone! I took some pics the other day, but need to post them. Maybe today, I'm not otherwise occupied.

Thanks, Marty! I love going to remote historical places, especially with tangible evidence of an ancient culture's existence. It puts things into a different perspective. Hubby and I are debating on going on another quick trip this weekend, if I do not get Shellie's 4th and final box by Saturday to be able to send the last of the rescue geese out on Monday. Spirit's surgery is Tuesday morning, so camping trips may be out of the question for a while after that.

Sure would love to see new pics of your gang.

Marty, got your message.

Janet... looks like you wont get it buy Saturday. Take that trip and enjoy before Spirits big day. We can play it by ear the following week for when will be good to send the four adults. Fed Ex and USPS are still reporting delays right now, but luckily the memphis hub isnt part of them.

Hi everyone,
Well I have finally downloaded my geese pic's.
700

These are my new so called African geese.
700
They are starting to develope some nobs and thier lobes are starting to fill out.
This one is of two of my duck and geese pastures. I was taking some pictures for my friend to show her husband back in WA state.[IMG]https://www.backyardchickens.com/content/type/61/id/5355811/width/350/height/700
This one is of my Production Troulouse Geese.
Celtic I finally got some Flock Raiser, I bought the last six bags that TSC had left. I about died about the price $17.99 a bag but if this is the best feed that I can find for them then I will bite the bullet. It will be nice to only buy just one bag instead of 3 different ones. Everyone let me know what you think of them.
