Goose lovers – please help!!

Janet, I am so sorry about your truck. But I'm glad that your horses are okay and safe. I have been praying for Spirit all day, can't wait for updates. We just got an update as to why we have no deer on our 80 acre farm ......WOLVES!!!! This was confermed by a DNR officer that lives just 3 miles from us. I am working hard to make stalls in my barn for all the Geese and Ducks. I am plaining on letting the ducks have the center of the barn with the African crosses and the Troulouse can have the north side with some of the other ducks. My chickens have the entire south side of the old barn. The only other thing I can do is to put someone in the loft with the pigeon killer(don't know what is doing this).

Again I hope Spirit is doing good and you too.

Celtic, the barn is actually 20 x 40 ft, but they only get the end where the horses and carriages were driven in and parked. The rest of the barn has a wood floor now, not the plain dirt floor of the pre 1930s.

yeah, totally would have it full end to end. LOL Horses, waterfowl, rabbits, goats, yep auto waters, center isle stalls everywhere, yep. Hubby is very happy I dont have that barn I am sure LOL Although if land presented itself I might be tempted.

SNOW that is a four letter word I hate to see or hear. This morning we had 3 inches on the ground but it melted off by7 this morning. I am not looking forward to that white stuff, my straw hasn't even been delivered yet. The geese were waiting tonite to get their corn and are moving alittle closer to me each day. The ducks on the other had couldn't wait for me to let them into the barn for the night.

Well, we don't get much snow really, but you may think our wind a bit brisk. It blows 20 mph most days, but up to 60. Flat prarie. However, your geese would love the long lush grasses we enjoy March through November.... maybe. And our temps range from -20 up to 115. usually its -5 through 105 though.

UGHHHHH our variety sucks. Highs of 100 with high humidity and lows of -30 to -40. Only 3 good months of nice weather. We generally say 3 months of summer and 9 months of winter or 3 months of road constuction and 9 of winter. Either way I miss northern California.
