Goose questions!

@Miss Lydia Thanks! I personally never let my younger children around our birds unsurpervised as it is now. I’m concerned about birds that would be calm because I have so many children that I would need to feel like I can keep the situation under control. I can deal with animals that are temporarily more aggressive, but preferably I’d like birds my children can still interact with in a controlled manner.

@bluemerle Actually, I have been quite taken with the Pilgrim that Miss Lydia mentioned, but I think the Cotton Patch is also worth looking into. They’re a heritage breed that I’ve looked into, and they seem like they’d fit my situation. I’m asking around here before I make a firm decision though. Buying stock is expensive, and even though I have no problem filling my freezer with anyone who doesn’t work out, I have small children and other animals to think about too.

I was going to add Cotton Patch to the list but since they aren’t talked about as much wasn’t sure how easily it is to come by them. Another good breed to look into. Plus Poms and Tufted Romans not sure on temperament on these two.
