Hi, I am new here. I have goose questions. My first question is should I get them as babies or as adults? Can they be still trained to come to their names as adults?

It’s really up to you, either option has challenges.
Goslings are more needy and require a lot of attention and care, but they will bond to you faster.
Adults are more suspicious and will take time to adjust to you but are more self reliant so long as they aren’t alone and have another goose. As long as you devote time to them to make friends and offer treats they will “adopt” you as one of their flock.
Regardless geese do learn their names and can be trained to come when called and go into their enclosure/ shed at night when escorted.
