We still have the entire run to build, and finish painting the outside of the coop...I think there might be pics of that coming later today

GopherBoy is heading out to do some painting....we will see how it turns out later today.

From what I can see on one side it looks like the painting is going along GREAT

The front is almost all painted also, needs the tape taken off and maybe a touch-up or two since this is oil based paint it's been taking longer then I thought.

All that is left to paint is one side and finish the back, but what has GopherBoy gotten done?

guess he needs more supervision next time

I just happened to read this thread (how did I miss this??). OMG, I am amazed and laughing hysterically, all at the same time! What an incredible building you built, and how hysterically funny you made it all! This thread is a classic, for so many reasons. Thanks for taking the time to share your pictures and your chicken house adventure with us.

WOW! IT LOOKS FANTASTIC! But I knew it would. Mine is almost done Now all I need to do is get the shingles on and the trim and then paint. But the trim and paint are going to have to wait till after I get some kind of vehicle to drive since mine blew up! What a wonderful job you all did and how enjoying your posts are! The Chicken (fill in word ~ mansion, barn, palace, fiefdom) is absolutely wonderful.

It's just mind boggling that dh has built this from so many left-overs and with such creativity.
I've really enjoyed watching the progress.
