I will tell you right now preventative maintenance is key. I would start getting everything you need. nutri drench, bedding of different types, two waterers two feeders, brooder lamp, back-up bulb, vitamin packs, look at feed carefully geese need less protein. 20% max. The only other cases I have seen its been the feed, I used purina start and grow crumbles will never use again first hatch used dumor had no issues. I'm mixing in the purina into my adult flocks food carefully so I don't waste it. With geese im finding they need to forage to be healthy when its warm put them outside in a safe pen with food and water they will instinctively graze you will be supprised how little of the store bought food they will eat. I think my problem was I didn't graze them at all. it wasn't until she got sick that I started doing the research and found that out. but they r pretty easy going animals if you keep them healthy from the start. Just be prepared you will be fineI have 5 eggs in the incubator now, and I'm new to geese. Should get some drench to have on hand when they hatch or just start with vitamin packs in their water? It's only day 7 in the in the incubator and I'm already getting worried!:/
