Yeah, that's not so good. Maybe you can take it from them before the little guy gets too old? Kinda mean to all the daddies, but save you some pain later.

I would but with everything thats going on i dont have time to hand raise anymore even if it was for a littlw while.

Today is, or was rather, supposed to be lockdown, for two african/Chinese eggs, upon candle and weigh, one little has already internally pipped. And the second one is trying like insane...

Delta only has 1 baby too. How sweet gets lot of attention I bet.

The baby is certainly well protected by Delta and her two ganders. It will be a big downer if it turns out to be another gander, as Alpha really needs a new mate. At least I have more Africans going broody on me (in secure nests I set up inside horse property garage). Hopefully they will hatch a girl or two in case Delta's little one is a boy.

That's so sweet, was telling dh this morning how drakes could care less about ducklings in general but there's Sammy standing guard over Missy in their house like a good expectant papa should.

Missy is pretty hissy this morning maybe something is going on, i put food and water close by so she wouldn't have to get up, Now she'll expect breakfast in bed everyday. I

Ethel has a lots of babies today...here is the funny part,
Maggie had decided to help her hatch them :/ well now this group has 4 daddies and 2 mommies. UGH its like one of those freaky compounds where the men have multiple wives with multiple children. My flock is weird
I do think i got more lavenders though, i havent been able to get close to see but most are dark like the toulouse, just for the sake of comparrison. Some are still wet
