Goslings of 2014 Hatch-a-long

8 that was probely the problem! Some ganders that rarely have mated will mate when they have the chance espically first years! But ganders will do it at any age so thats why i put protection for my females since there are always ganders full of horomones around lurking ,espically my embden ganders

Serv I have people waiting for goslings from me so will be hatching and selling the goslings to the people waiting for goslings.

With Seb eggs I had put 11 in the incubator and only 5 possibly six are fertile. So I know when I put the new ones in the incubator that there will be either unfertile or ones that do not develop. Plus hope they make it to hatch.

Congrats, Ruru!!
Thank you J. Now to see how many will be fertile and how many not to develop. Right now have 5- 6 that are developing. Plus have 6 more I will check later this evening. Then start up the other incubator for putting some eggs in that one. I can get a few more in this incubator I am using now. I am using it dry for right now.

Iain how are your africans getting along?!

They are slowly adjusting, but won't be happy until they can return to the horse pasture with the rest of their flock. I plan to only have them penned for another 4 weeks, which will give me a dozen white and a dozen hopeful color sexed (white female) eggs.
