I have to work tomorrow

I will be sitting by the incubator for every minute outside of work though! THEY BETTER NOT HATCH EARLY! Saturday is my only actual work day, but they aren't due until Sunday. So they had BETTER take their time!

I like to be there when they hatch. I hope you get to be there for yours.

I am setting all eggs tonight. I can already hear the fussing lol its not like all will hatch or that i have to keep them all.

Speaking of candling, i tried candling the donkey to see if it was close to pipping lol she didnt like the flashlight too well and i couldnt see a darn thing jk!

My geese tend to come off their nests twice a day, but not early, I imagine it´s so the eggs don´t lose heat too quickly. They come off mid-morning and later in the afternoon.

I hope so. Do you not normally let your geese raise any goslings? Do you put all of them in the incubator normally?

I have only hatched goslings in an incubator and then given them to adults to raise when they are anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks old. Last year, Beignet (my production Toulouse goose) laid a late round of eggs in June and went broody. I left her alone. A month later she hatched 4 of 5 eggs and she and her mate raised them up. The goose in the picture half-heartedly tried to go broody late in the season, but she had no eggs to sit on and gave up after a day or two.
