Goslings of 2014 Hatch-a-long

She sure looks so much like my three goslings do now! Miracle, Hope, and Wonder are all the same size (of course - they were all hatched on the same day as yours... lol) Although Miracle and Hope are darker than yours, and Wonder is much lighter.

It has been raining here the last two days, and tonight it's supposed to be close to freezing again. But the highs are supposed to be in the 60-degree range (17 Celsius for those of you across the pond), so once the rain is gone I think I'll try and get new pics of my babies!

Of course. I'd forgotten about that. Easily distracted!

I just can't wait to see what colour s/he will be.
What I wouldn't give for 17°c, right now we struggle to get to 15. But it's dry here most of the time so Moose and his mini me are out there bonding. :D

Absolutely. More pics please!

I must have missed some posts...one egg only????    And this time, Malevolent Milicent looks like a girl... and she has Chinese in her?
Serv, do you see chinese in MalcolmMyrtle?  Look at that bill.  If it´s got Chinese in it, could it not be a bit of a stroppy gal?

Yep down to one egg! :hit The first started oozing, the 2nd was clear and the 3rd quit. If I end up with a male and female toulouse I will be happy.
There are no production toulouse in the area so i can't get goslings. I keep looking at chickens and willing them to go broody!
There was no mention in the advert that she had chinese but i suppose it doesn't mean there wasn't. Her beak and feet are a lovely pale pink colour. Whatever she is she will be pretty.

Welcome

you will learn a lot in her and ask questions when you need help because goose eggs are harder to hatch then other fowl

... The little led light I have shows me the air cell really good so until I can get to town and get another or DH and I devise a good homemade one I'm literally in the dark lol... Last time I checked tho all 5 were wiggling around pretty good!! As far as harder to hatch, what do you mean? Do they typically need help?

Go to Tractor Supply, Wal-mart, Harbor Freight, etc., and get one of those mini LED flashlights. They're only about 3.5" long, about 1" in diameter, take 3 AAA batteries and have 9 LED bulbs in them. You have to cup your hand over the light/egg to shield the sides so you can see, but they work. I either wait until it's night time to candle the eggs, with all of the lights turned off, or use the walk-in closet which has no windows.

dancerchick im trying to open the incubator since my bator loses temp and humidity rapidly! But i did put an egg to my ear of one of my broodys and i heard cheeping and they are due either tomorrow or thursday
