Oooh that is awesome I haven't met very many west virginians on here that close to me yet I got 5 dewlap toulouse eggs from lain Utah here and have 4 in lockdown - I can't believe I made it this far with them I have never incubated goose eggs before so I'm ecstatic to have 2 pipped

Aww! Well if she's perking up, that sounds very promising! I hope she does make it!

And I agree with the name Persistence. Spirit is another good name, for one who has enough Spirit to push through. But doesn't someone here already have a goose named Spirit? (I have a cat named Spirit for very similar reasons, although not from birth, it was from abandonment). And keep in mind I have Hope, Miracle, and Wonder as names for mine. If it's a male, you can also go with Gladiator, Maximus, or Warrior, since he's clearly a fighter for his life. Siren is a good name for a female.

Or just look at Greek/Roman gods and goddesses for good names.

Spirit is my amazing dewlap Toulouse gander. He turns 2yo this weekend and has very much lived up to his name.

I always knew that crows were terrified of gun shots but ive no gun or gun licence! And the clapping board idea is really good but i use two bricks that clap loud
Its always the same carrion crow(silver back crow)

Only one week from today until My Maggie is due to hatch her 5 eggs. I cant wait to see them, all 5 eggs are hers and either pure tufted or tufted x toulouse.
