Goslings of 2014 Hatch-a-long

I wasnt mad :p lol

I can try to get a picture of my problem goose. She is very easy to ID from a distance as she has light grey legs., the other 3 African geese have darker orange colored legs. She has had that odd colored legs since hatch. I don't know if the strange coloring is from being mixed bred, or if it is connected to the weak leg problems she has suffered from since we got her. She still has occasional leg shaking and weakness, even though she gets niacin and poultry nutri-drench to help. The supplements have made a difference, but has not completely fixed the problem. She is now able to run and stuff, where before she would take a few steps and plop down. Maybe her aggression has something to do with her legs. Or maybe she is just a product of inbred hatchery stock, which is my suspicion.

The only worry you should have about fighting is during breeding season. Otherwise they should be fine together the rest of the time since they have been raised together. There may be a pecking order developed but that happens with all of them and usually isnt much more then and pinch or feather pull, chickens, ducks, geese etc.

Oh good. I have my hopes pinned on Snow for breeding. After we got through his rebellious stage he became very sweet towards me, even slightly protective. Now that he is injured and I carry him around he has gotten more so. Yesterday that turd came up to the porch, stood at the gate and honked until I came out, picked him up (he stood completely still when i walked up to him and picked him up) and carried him to where the other geese were grazing in the back yard. Talk about a spoiled gander, lol!

This is my problem goose, Gertrude.

This one makes me think gander, but hey what do I know??

That's Jas (Jasmine if goose, Jasper if gander). When she was a gosling, 8, Serv, and Utah all said gander. I am leaning towards goose, but won't know till that first eggs comes out, or doesn't lol. Whatever sex Jas is, she has stolen my heart with how sweet she is. She climbs in my lap of her own free will when I sit down to spend time with them. Jas and Snow are the eldest geese of the flock, and both are the sweetest. I am praying desperately that Jas is indeed Jasmine sot that they pair up for breeding season.

Btw 8, my Cayuga ducklings are fully feathered and have some purple on their wings, as well as the shiny green heads! They are gorgeous, and big,

I didnt get mine, the guy backed out on the trade because he had a raccoon attack and lost some of his other ducklings and didnt want to take the chance and lose goslings too until he can get rid of the raccoons
