O serv I hope he'll be okay. That is scary Maybe he was dragging your goose is the reason the goose was screaming. Seems the gander would be too large for the fox to carry. Please let us know in the morning how he isMy flock of geese were all running around and few flew in the window and my dog was going mad, so I got the torch and heard a goose scream in the distance and my dog was growling and attacking a fox(too dark to see but sure it was a fox)but it was too dark to see the fox and my dog was gone for 10 minutes, thank goodness the goose survived(my 8 year old greylag gander)the fox brought it very far in the field and is limping so I grabbed him and put him inside an ark (will investigate the damage tomorrow).
I am so surprised that we have a fox again after not having one for a year and surprised that the fox managed to bring the gander so far!Gander is in deep shock and so am I! I got a fright when all the geese were going mad.
Now my geese are all careful and necks up, the reason is i think because I am preparing Christmas Geese for people and it attracts the foxes by the looks of it.
The fox didn't touch the slaughtered geese which confuses me and by the looks of it prefers live geese.
The fox came very close to the house which is unusual and I thought that I would have no foxes this winter![]()
Tip:If you slaughter geese foxes will smell it from miles away and won't eat it by the looks of it and it wants geese that are alive.
