My newly hatched ducklings with 3 two week olds.
Excuse the mess i took these after they played in their water and before i changed the bedding.
The duckling from the egg that i dropped, cracked and fixed is the dark one at the bottom standing in the bowl in the first two pics. I call him Crack head for now lol so glad he survived.

They are all beautiful 8, Congrats!!

The light colored ones are a good sign that i have a true pair! So eggs could be available for you next year.

How does having two differently colored types of babies make your parent stock a "true pair" as you say ?

Because my parent stock is a flock 7 ducks i bought. 2 pair looked like saxony. The other 3 hens are a chocolate runner, a blue ancona and a dark brown hen.
The light colored are from the saxony trio, the others are from the other hens and the other saxony drake.

They are all precious do they all get along with each other since it looks like you have different age groups there.
