Goslings of 2015 Hatch-a-Long

Hello this is my first time raising geese I have two girls they are both still goslings but they are half the size of my layers (which are adults) I moved them out to the coop with my layers and they are fine but they are however picking on my pullets and my Roos by pulling out there feathers and wondered if there was something I could do

Need to separate them use temporary fencing. but much better would be to separate for good. geese can be awfully hard on chickens and chickens can really hurt goslings if they decide to retaliate.

About the only solution will be to seperate them. Give them a house and space of their own. I have 3 Toulouse that were raised with chickens and ducks but at a certain point everything seemed to turn around. All they wanted to do was assault the chickens and ducks. So, they now have their own little house, run and access to a field full of grass. I know there are folks on BYC that have no problem raising geese, chickens and ducks all together but that has not been my experience.

One week from tomorrow i should have a bunch of ducklings. I still have 18 blue swedish and pekin x blue swedish kicking like crazy in the eggs. Then 12 days later my own duck eggs are due, 4 of 6 i set are developing well. I will be setting 9-10 more eggs from my ducks soon.
My 3 goose eggs are only on day two. I did however figure out that they are from my pied tufted chinese, Stormy. I should get some pretty wild colored gossies from her and this spotted gander of the same crossing. She laid another one today so when i get 2 more i will set 3 more of her eggs. Ethel my tufted roman hasnt laid yet, hopefully she will soon. I want to hatch some from her as well. I need to build my flock up.
Still trying to rehome these ganders i saved last week. Im being very picky, as usual, about where they go.

Your humidity is way to high for incubation and they are drowning before they internally pip.

Try to get your humidity down to about 25% for incubation and then only raise it after they have internally pipped.

I don't use still air so I'm not familiar with the right temp but I think you need to be slightly higher with still air temp verses forced air- unless that is an accurate reading @ the level of the egg.

Ok so pretty much what your saying is no water in incubator and then fill it up at around pipping

I lost another baby today. it had pipped humidity was at 61%
I am seeing alot have pipped but are not externally pipped and that is when they are dieing , when I opened the one today , its head was swollen lots of fluid .. I feel so bad I am killing these poor babies

Just wondering after I spray the goose eggs, should I have them on a cooling period, and If so, for how long ?

Popped the egg in the incubator!!! So exicted...I think I might take maybe four eggs from her and if she ends up having more to go broody on I'll let her.

Question for those experienced individuals: Am I supposed to do the daily cooling and misting from day 1 (24 hrs after setting), or wait until first candling at 7 days? I weighed the eggs tiday and all have lost weight, somw more than others.
