Don't know about turkeys but if your geese use them they are going to need access from the nest to a lot of straw. Geese will build a clutch of eggs and they like to bury them. There nests can be pretty big if they build a large clutch.

Hey Everyone,
We are at day 23 and have 6 dewlap eggs with babies that look awesome. I have one question though. All of the eggs have the air cell at the end with a very distinct pattern they are supposed to have. I know which way is up for hatching except ONE.

It is a perfect circle at the end. So which way is up???????

Thanks

as you approach hatch day one side of the air cell will start dipping... that side will be the top when you stop turning... not critical right now

How can you tel if you have a buff or a gray baby when the first hatch and are dry?? And do you vent them for sex??

Hope
gray vs buff is supper easy as soon as they dry... usually before then Think dark night vs bright daylight easy

I've never been able to sex babies... so can't help you there

Thanks so much Miss Lydia. So super exciting as this is only the second time we have tried to hatch our dewlaps eggs. Have been following Petes diary for assistance and he is spot on.
Hope
