Got 50 bucks burning a hole in my pocket, what are some neat and useful chicken accessories on Amazon?

your chickens NEED food, water, and shelter.

beyond that, whatever you buy them isn’t a necessity

you can spend that $50 on things that will make taking care of your chickens more convenient for you. a heated waterer is great if you experience freezing temperatures.

otherwise, $50 will feed my birds for 3 months. that’s the route i’d go.

Agreed.

You want to get something special for your chickens? Um...let's see......a groovy new nest box might just be the thing. Or your gals might appreciate one of them fancy dust bathing contraptions with clean sand to roll around in. Or you could buy one of them them things that hold a head of lettuce or other greens and you hang it so the hens bat it around for entertainment. Of course, if your chickens are like mine, just putting down an empty feed bag seems to be the best thing ever: they roll around on that thing like a cat with a catnip toy.....go figure.

Mine like a straw bale.

I got one last week that I meant to use to re-bed their nests and then spread it under the roosts. I had to toss it in just inside the door when it started to rain and by the time I got home from work the next day they'd spread it around the entire wrong area of the coop. :lau

Hmmm I guess that would depend🤔 Do you have a good first aid kit? With $50 you could put yourself together a nice little kit. If you are good on the feed and the first aid kit, I always like to pick up little antique/vintage mirrors from Etsy and garage sales for my birds to hang in their pens. My ducks and chickens love to look at themselves in the mirror (especially the chickens).

You could buy yourself some chicken shoes (gardening shoes/boots) to wear when you go to the coop.
I like this! Good for human and chickens.

Or in the same vein, gloves. I just ordered hubby a pair of insulated, waterproof gloves like mine since he waited until it was below freezing to realize he had no cold weather chicken gloves.
